Like A Flower Bending In The Breeze

Jim’s theme for today includes flowers. So I have taken the opportunity to feature a song that always makes me feel in the mood for romance. Yes, yes, I have my moments. There is more to me than pharmacy. Nothing could be more romantic than leading a partner around the dancefloor to a song like this.

I have chosen the Dean Martin cover of a song originally from Pablo Beltrán Ruiz, but it has been covered by a variety of artists including the Pussycat Dolls – hmm hmm. Better to stick with one of the greatest singers of romance. The song is simply called “Sway”.

When marimba rhythms start to play
Dance with me, make me sway
Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore
Hold me close, sway me more

Like a flower bending in the breeze
Bend with me, sway with ease
When we dance you have a way with me
Stay with me, sway with me

Other dancers may be on the floor
Dear, but my eyes will see only you
Only you have the magic technique
When we sway I go weak

I can hear the sounds of violins
Long before it begins
Make me thrill as only you know how
Sway me smooth, sway me now

Other dancers may be on the floor
Dear, but my eyes will see only you
Only you have the magic technique
When we sway I go weak

I can hear the sounds of violins
Long before it begins
Make me thrill as only you know how
Sway me smooth, sway me now
You know how
Sway me smooth, sway me now
