Last week, we had our first holiday in over a year. I cannot tell you how great it was to feel like a tourist, even though we did not leave England. It was fun though. Eating ice-cream, visiting places of interest, hitting the beach when the weather improved at the weekend…it was fun.
Probably because of not having had a holiday in a long time, and the stresses of the past year – we just enjoyed every moment.
I have come back feeling refreshed, at peace, happy, energized and I have today to soak up more sun before I am back at work tomorrow. Normally I get post-holiday blues after being away. Right now I still feel as if I have had a big hug from nature and the good old British tourism industry, who gave us a great welcome. People were much friendlier than I expected, and it felt good.
It might take me a while to get myself back into routine with my blog. But I just wanted to touch base with you to say I am still here, and feeling great after the escape we just had.

That’s so cool you found a way to ‘travel’ even during these times. Your soul thanks you, and I look forward to what you have to share on the blog after that.
Happy for you Jake. Everybody needs a holiday to unwind. 😉
Missed you Mr Nyamake!
I hope to see more of your posts appearing in my Reader. You are a breath of fresh air.
